Overview
Recono provides dealership reconditioning workflow and recon tracking software. Recono is designed for dealership organizations and their authorized users to track vehicles, manage recon stages, review performance, collaborate across teams, and administer their Recono workspace.
In this policy, “Recono,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Recono service. “Customer” or “organization” refers to the dealership or business using Recono. “User” refers to an individual authorized to access a Recono account.
Recono is a business-to-business service. Dealership organizations control which users are granted access to their workspace and the operational data entered into it.

Technical and usage information
We may collect information such as IP address, browser or device information, request and error logs, session activity, authentication events, and other technical information used to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
Recono may use collected information to:
- provide and operate the Recono application;
- authenticate users and maintain account sessions;
- associate users, vehicles, and activity with the correct dealership organization;
- display recon dashboards, reports, stage history, assignments, and vehicle status;

Google and Microsoft authentication
Recono supports sign-in through Google and Microsoft. When a user chooses one of these authentication providers, Recono receives information necessary to identify the user and connect the sign-in to the appropriate Recono account. Depending on the provider and account configuration, this may include the user's name, email address, provider identifier, and authentication-related claims.
Recono does not receive or store the user's Google or Microsoft account password. Authentication is performed by the selected identity provider.
Billing and Stripe
Recono uses Stripe to process paid subscriptions and related billing activity. When a customer starts or changes a paid subscription, billing and payment information is processed by Stripe under Stripe's own terms and privacy practices.
Recono may store billing-related identifiers and subscription information provided by Stripe, such as Stripe customer IDs, subscription IDs, price IDs, subscription status, billing period dates, and cancellation status.
Recono does not need to store full payment card numbers in order to manage a subscription. Payment-card processing is handled by Stripe.
Cookies, sessions, and service logs
Recono uses cookies and similar browser mechanisms that are necessary to provide authenticated sessions and maintain the security and functionality of the application.
We may also maintain server, application, authentication, security, and diagnostic logs. These logs may contain request information, timestamps, IP addresses, browser information, errors, authentication events, and related technical data.
The public Recono website may also use measurement or advertising technologies when configured for campaigns or conversion tracking. Those technologies may be provided by third parties and may use cookies or similar identifiers according to their own privacy practices.
How information is shared
Recono does not sell personal information to advertisers. Information may be shared only as reasonably necessary to operate the service, fulfill customer requests, or comply with legal obligations.
This may include sharing information with service providers that support functions such as cloud infrastructure, payment processing, authentication, security, analytics, communications, or technical operations.
Information may also be disclosed if required by law, legal process, court order, or a valid government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect Recono, our users, customers, or others from fraud, abuse, security threats, or unlawful activity.
If Recono is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.
Data retention
Recono retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and security records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support legitimate operational needs.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the status of the customer account, contractual requirements, legal obligations, and technical backup or archival processes.
Security
Recono uses reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, loss, or disclosure.
No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Customers are responsible for controlling access to their Recono workspace, maintaining appropriate user permissions, and protecting the Google or Microsoft accounts used to sign in.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where a user resides, applicable law may provide rights regarding access, correction, deletion, portability, or other handling of personal information.
Because Recono is primarily used on behalf of dealership organizations, users should generally contact their organization's Recono administrator first for requests involving dealership workspace data. Users may also contact Recono using the information below.
We may need to verify a request before acting on it and may retain information when required or permitted by law.
Children's privacy
Recono is a business service intended for dealership operations and is not directed to children. Recono is not intended for use by individuals under 13 years of age.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Recono service, business practices, legal requirements, or third-party services change. When we update this policy, we will revise the effective date shown at the top of the page.
If a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the Recono service or another appropriate communication channel.
